Truffle Steak

Serves up to 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 high-quality steak cuts (e.g. ribeye or filet mignon) left at room temperature 30 mins before cooking

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 tbsp truffle butter or normal butter

  • 1 tbsp Truffoil

  • 2-3 fresh black truffles, thinly sliced

  • Fresh herbs (e.g. thyme or rosemary) for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the frying pan to a high heat

  2. Season the steaks with salt and pepper on both sides

  3. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, once done leave to rest for a few minutes

  4. Whilst the steaks are resting add a tablespoon of truffle butter allowing it to melt and coat the surface

  5. Drizzle a small amount of Truffoil over the steak

  6. Slice the black truffle over the steak

  7. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve whilst hot
